Gunjan Kukreja
Gunjan is a Hamden mom to two children, aged 2 and 4. Their family loves to attend local family friendly activities. One of their favorite places is Brooksvale Park, where they spend much time visiting the animals and swinging on the swings. They also like participating in the Hamden Public Library’s seasonal scavenger hunts. Gunjan has worked as a Lab Manager at Yale University for the past nine years. She also served on the board of a local Connecticut moms’ group, where she enjoyed connecting with fellow parents and organizing events that brought together children and families from diverse backgrounds. As a Parent Ambassador, Gunjan is excited to welcome new families, share valuable Hamden resources, and advocate for children, while serving as a strong voice for parents. She looks forward to organizing gatherings and events where parents can share experiences and children can learn and grow through play. Gunjan is eager to build meaningful connections with fellow Hamden parents to better understand and serve community needs. |
Symone Maguire
Symone wanted to be a resource for parents in the state, and to play an active role in deciding new pathways for ECE in Connecticut. Symone is the mother of three children (ages 8, 6 and 2), 2 of whom are in the public school system and one in childcare. Symone and her family have personally benefited from OEC’s Birth to Three services and this experience helped her to gain more insight to assist other parents. She is a member of her children’s elementary school PTA, HPYC, and sits on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit organization. In her spare time, Symone enjoys reading and is an avid sports fan, especially of football, basketball, and volleyball. |
