Center-Based Child Care and Preschools
Center-based child care are group child care programs which provide full or part time care. These programs are licensed by the State according to minimal standards regulating health, safety, space and staffing standards.

Family/Home Based Child Care
Hamden is home to many Family Child Care locations. Families may choose home child care for the following reasons: family environment, smaller number of children, consistent caregiver, flexible hours, and/or siblings can be cared for together.
